What kinds of stock can I run?
You can crease (score) 100# text up through 120# Cover or 14 pt.
You'll find the Tri-Creasers perform well on digital text stocks (60#-100#) and typically take a crease application far better than comparable offset text weight stocks.
How many sheets per hour can I produce?
You will easily average at least 300-500 depending on the job. An operator with a bit of experience could get up to 1500+ pieces per hour as shown in the demonstration videos.
How long does it take to set up the machine?
Typically you'll only need a few minutes to set it up for jobs requiring only 1 or 2 creases.
Do I need any special training?
No. Unskilled staff can learn how to set up the Mini in one short session.
How long do the creasing ribs last?
On high-volume production folding and scoring machines, our creasing ribs last 500,000 sheets up to 1 million sheets or more, depending on the stocks. For a low-volume machine such as the Mini, you'll rarely wear out a rib. Replacements are only $25 each.
Can I perforate on the CreaseStream Mini?
Yes, you can add an optional Micro Perforator to your Mini.
Is there any maintenance required?
No. Simply wipe the machine down to keep it free from dust, especially on the 25mm shafts. This ensures that the tools will slide freely and insert easily into the bushings.
